The History of the World
according to the Old Testament
(by Dr. John Williams)
Introduction
The genealogy of Jesus Christ from Adam to Jesus, covers the time span of 4000
years BC. The names of Adam and his sons and sons are given for the entire span
4000 years referred to as the Old Testament period (BC 1-4,000).
The names of the Kings that ruled during the Old Testament times (1-4000 BC),
the kingdoms they ruled, the number of years for which they ruled, the important
events that took place during the time of their reign, how their kingdoms came
to an end and who succeeded is clearly recorded in the Bible in the Old
Testament. This is true world history during the OT times. There is no other
authentic record comparable to this or contradictory, anywhere in the world.
Further there is ample archaeological, historical, geographical evidence to
prove the facts recorded in the Old Testament.
Jesus Christ was born according some authentic records in the year 4000 BC and
died in the year 33 BC, when he was crucified on the cross of Calvary.
Not only the names of the Kings and the duration of their kingdoms, but what
happened during their times such as wars fought and won and lost, how their
kingdoms flourished or impoverished, the boundaries of their kingdoms and other
important events that took place during the times of each OT kings is clearly
recorded in the Bible, with clear indisputable details.
Further the Bible Geography and Bible History, for the entire period of 4000 BC
to 1 BC, is clearly recorded in the Old Testament.
