Daily Meditation -  BIBLE STUDY

I. THE SUMMARY OF TEACHINGS OF JESUS:

• Jesus is the true vine, and His Father is the husband man, which indicates the close and interdependent relationship. 

• We can be cleansed through the Word of God.

• We have to be closely connected with Jesus to do any good works.

• If we do not have a close relationship with Jesus our lives will be totally useless.

• We can please God only by doing good works to our fellow men who are in need.

• We must love everyone just like Jesus loved every one.

• Following the pattern of Jesus who obeyed all the commandments of His Father, we must obey the commandments of Jesus. 

• If the world hates you, we should know that the world also hated Jesus.

• We should bear witness to the world that we belong to Jesus and follow him. 

• If we remember the words of Jesus and obey him, Jesus will give us anything that we ask Him. 

• We should therefore diligently study the Word of God and strictly adhere to it and obey them at any cost. 

• Our relationship with Jesus is not of a servant, but a friend. 

• Unless we are closely connected and hooked with Jesus we cannot do any good work. 

• If we identify ourselves with Jesus, we will be persecuted the same way the world. 

• If we hate Jesus it means that we hate God our Father also. 

• When the Holy Spirit comes he will testify all these facts to us. 
  

II. SUMMARY

This chapter stresses the importance of:

• Having a close relationship with Jesus 

• Identifying ourselves with Jesus

• Strictly obeying the Commandments of God 

• Loving every one as Jesus loved us

• Loving is doing some good works, but at the same time we should know that doing good works is not the same as loving!
