THE DEATH OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST ON THE CROSS
 "Death is swallowed up in Victory"
(I CORINTHIANS 15:54)

I. WHAT HAPPENED WHEN JESUS DIED ON THE CROSS OF CALVARY?

1. The Death was swallowed up in Victory
2. The Son of God triumphed over Satan
3. The Darkness covered the earth at the noon hour
4. The Veil in the Temple was rent in twain giving every one direct access to God
5. The Dead bodies of Saints in the Grave rose and appeared to many, proving that 
    there is life after Death 
6. The Mission of  the Lord Jesus Christ was accomplished
7. The Gap between God in Heaven and the Sinful Man in this World was Bridged
8. The Thunders and Lightening shook this world amazed by this Sacrificial act of the
    Son of God
9. The Roman Centurion who witnessed all these thing said that truly He is the 
    Son of God

II. WHY DID JESUS DIE ON THE CROSS OF CALVARY?
1. To Make Atonement for the Sins of this World
2. To Overcome Death in Order to Give Eternal Life to all Men
3. To Purge the Sins of Man with His Blood
4. To Demonstrate His Love for the Mankind
5. To Bring Healing to the Sick and Deliverance to the Captives
6. To Defeat Satan and to Triumph over Him
7. To Turn the Sorrow of Man into Joy
8. To Make us more than Conquerors
9. To Fulfill God Plan of Salvation to the Mankind

III. HOW CAN WE BENEFIT BY THE DEATH OF JESUS CHRIST ON THE CROSS?
1. By Getting Saved from the Penalty of Sin, which is Death
2. By Having an Eternal Life
3. By Overcoming Satan in Every Trial and Temptation  
4. By Enjoying all the Blessings and Provisions that Jesus has made for us 
    through the Death of our Lord Jesus Christ
5. By Entering and Living in the Spiritual Kingdom of God now, while we are 
    still on this Earth
6. By Having the Peace and Joy of Salvation, which the World can neither Give 
    nor Take it away
7. By Being filled with Abundance and Riches, since Jesus emptied Himself and became 
    rich
8. By Getting the Whole World saved from Eternal Damnation, by Proclaiming the 
    Death of Jesus
9. By Standing in the Gap between the Sinners and the Savior who died for us, 
    and interceding for them
